Aronia melanocarpa Low Scape Mound® – Chokeberry

Low Scape Mound® is a compact, native Chokeberry with glossy dark green foliage and a naturally low, mounded habit. Clusters of white flowers appear in spring, followed by black fruit in summer that adds seasonal interest and provides a food source for wildlife.

In fall, the foliage turns vivid shades of red and orange. Adaptable to a wide range of soils and easy to maintain, this dwarf shrub is well suited for mass plantings, low borders, foundation plantings, and other areas where a compact native shrub is needed. Developed by Dr. Mark Brand of the University of Connecticut.
