Medium emerald-green foliage stays clean and attractive throughout the growing season before turning bright golden-yellow in fall. Emerald Flare® also offers excellent resistance to birch leafminer and leaf spot, while showing good tolerance to drought and higher pH soils without chlorosis.

This durable birch performs best in full sun to very light shade with well-drained soil. Mulching and supplemental watering are recommended during extended dry periods, especially in exposed landscape sites.

Its narrow habit makes it an excellent choice for specimen plantings, smaller landscapes, and areas where height, ornamental bark, and a strong upright form are desired.
