Highly adaptable to a wide range of soil types, providing it is well-drained. Not recommended for hot, dry areas. Water when top 3 inches of soil is dry. Deciduous. Slow growing, reaches 40 to 50 ft. tall, 20 to 30 ft. wide. Zones 4-7.
