Geranium sanguineum
A dependable and easy-to-grow hardy geranium, Geranium sanguineum is valued for its adaptability and long-lasting garden appeal. This reliable perennial thrives in a wide range of conditions, from full sun to part shade, and performs well in average soil with excellent heat tolerance.
In early summer, large bright purple-red flowers bloom above a dense, mounding habit of deeply cut green foliage. As the season winds down, the foliage takes on rich blood-red tones, adding striking fall color to the garden.
Its compact size makes it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, and mass plantings, where it provides color and texture from summer into autumn.
