Hamamelis × intermedia ‘Barmstedt Gold’ – Spring Blooming Witch Hazel
‘Barmstedt Gold’ Witch Hazel is a vibrant, upright shrub that matures to a broader form, celebrated for its early spring display of rich golden-yellow flowers with subtle red accents at the petal bases. Each crimped, strap-like flower emerges from a purple-red calyx, curling in freezing temperatures and reopening when it warms. Large oval leaves start light yellow-green, turning sage-green, and finally shift to bright autumnal yellows.
