Hosta ‘Beauty Substance’
‘Beauty Substance’ is a large sport of ‘Sum and Substance’ with an impressive mounded habit and substantial foliage. Broad, cupped dark green leaves have moderate corrugation, thick texture, and narrow golden-yellow margins.
Lavender flowers rise above the foliage in July and August, adding soft seasonal color. Its bold size and architectural form make it an excellent specimen for shade gardens, woodland borders, and large foundation plantings.
