Pulsatilla vulgaris
Violet-purple flowers will greet you in early spring. Pasque flower is one of the first herbaceous perennials to bloom in spring. Large fluffy seed heads appear later, creating another ornamental feature. The entire plant is covered with soft, silvery hairs. Plants remain attractive through the summer, although the leaves may die back in late summer.

Requires excellent drainage. Part of the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae). Rabbit resistant. Full sun to part shade.  12". Zones 5-7.
