Rudbeckia hirta ‘Amarillo Gold’
(Black-Eyed Susan)
‘Amarillo Gold’ is a hardy biennial or short-lived perennial that blooms its first year, producing daisy-like golden flowers 4–6" wide. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, performing best in moist, organically rich conditions. Heat and drought tolerant once established, it blooms freely through summer. Deadheading encourages rebloom and helps control self-seeding, though plants often persist naturally in the garden through reseeding.
