Sorbaria sorbifolia First Editions® ‘Matcha Ball’® – Ash Leaf Spirea

‘Matcha Ball’® is a compact Ash Leaf Spirea with finely textured, fern-like foliage and a naturally rounded habit. New growth emerges with shades of red to orange-peach in early spring before maturing to soft chartreuse-green for the growing season.

Unlike many traditional Sorbaria, ‘Matcha Ball’® does not sucker and produces few flowers, allowing its foliage and tidy form to take center stage. In fall, the leaves turn bright yellow for added seasonal color. Its compact size makes it well suited for borders, foundation plantings, mass plantings, and smaller landscapes.
