Aconitum fischeri produces clear blue, helmet-shaped flowers on strong upright stems above finely cut foliage. More compact than many other Monkshood varieties, it blooms from late summer into early fall, adding color as many other perennials begin to fade.

This hardy perennial attracts bees, resists deer, and has good disease resistance. All parts of the plant are extremely poisonous, so gloves should be worn when handling.
