Actaea racemosa produces tall, fragrant spikes of creamy white flowers in July and August. Rising above attractive green foliage, the slender blooms add height and texture to shaded borders, woodland gardens, and naturalized plantings.
This native perennial develops into a substantial clump and works well toward the back of a shade garden, where its upright flowers can stand out against lower-growing plants.
