Actaea simplex ‘Brunette’
‘Brunette’ is a striking shade perennial grown for its deep maroon to nearly black foliage and tall, fragrant white flower spikes. The blooms appear in late summer, rising above the dark foliage and adding height and contrast to shaded garden areas.
It performs best in consistently moist soil and works well in woodland gardens, shaded borders, and mixed perennial plantings.
