Alchemilla mollis – Lady’s Mantle
A timeless favorite for its soft texture and glowing blooms, Alchemilla mollis forms dense mounds of scalloped, velvety gray-green leaves that shimmer with droplets after a rain. In late spring to early summer, airy sprays of chartreuse flowers float just above the foliage, lending a luminous quality to borders and shady corners. Slowly spreading by rhizomes, Lady’s Mantle makes a graceful groundcover, edging, or filler between perennials. Happy plants may gently self-seed, creating a natural, cottage-garden charm.
