Allium cernuum – Nodding Onion
A charming native wildflower with gracefully arching stems that dangle clusters of lavender-pink, bell-shaped blooms, Allium cernuum adds a delicate elegance to late-summer gardens. Flowering from August into September, its nodding blossoms sway gently in the breeze, creating a soft, naturalistic look perfect for meadows, borders, or native plantings. This North American native thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, inviting bees and butterflies while deterring deer.
