An old-fashioned favorite, Dutchman’s Pipe is loved for its large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves that create a lush, instant screen. This vigorous vine can cover porches, arbors, and trellises with ease—often reaching 15' × 20' in a single season. Its uniquely shaped flowers resemble Dutch smoking pipes, giving the plant its charming name.

Native to the eastern United States and southeastern Canada.A  valuable larval host for the pipevine swallowtail butterfly, this vine supports local pollinator populations while adding bold texture to the landscape. Thrives in full sun to heavy shade and responds beautifully to generous watering and feeding.
