French Tarragon is a useful addition to sunny herb and kitchen gardens, forming a loose clump of slender green leaves with a distinctive anise-like fragrance and flavor. Its fine-textured foliage blends easily among other culinary herbs and can be harvested throughout the growing season.
A classic herb in French cooking, the leaves are especially good with poultry, fish, eggs, sauces, vinegars, and dressings. Plant it in a sunny, well-drained location where excess moisture will not collect around the roots.
