Astilbe chinensis ‘Lowlands Ruby Red’
‘Lowlands Ruby Red’ brings rich early-summer color to shaded gardens with upright, feathery cherry-red flower plumes held above glossy, deep green foliage. The strong vertical flowers add texture and help brighten woodland gardens and mixed perennial borders.
Its medium height makes it easy to use through the front or middle of a shaded planting, where it pairs well with Hostas, Ferns, Heuchera, and other moisture-loving perennials. It performs best in organically rich soil that stays evenly moist.
