Astilbe chinensis 'Mighty™ Chocolate Cherry'

Astilbe chinensis ‘Mighty™ Chocolate Cherry’

‘Mighty™ Chocolate Cherry’ brings bold color and height to shaded gardens with dense hot-pink flower plumes held on deep burgundy to chocolate-red stems. Dark green foliage is brushed with reddish chocolate tones, giving the plant added interest even before the flowers open.

Its tall, upright habit makes it a strong choice for the middle or back of shaded borders, woodland gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. It pairs especially well with Hostas, Ferns, Heuchera, and other moisture-loving shade plants, where the dark stems and bright flowers create striking contrast.
