Astilbe chinensis 'Mighty Pip'

Astilbe chinensis ‘Mighty Pip’

One of the tallest Astilbes, ‘Mighty Pip’ brings impressive height and soft color to shaded gardens. Large, fluffy rosy-pink flower plumes rise above deep green, fern-like foliage, creating a strong vertical accent in summer.

Its substantial size makes it especially useful toward the back of shaded borders, as a backdrop for lower-growing perennials, or grouped together for a loose flowering hedge. It also works well as a focal point in woodland gardens and provides excellent stems for cutting.
