Astilbe chinensis ‘Mighty Red Quinn’
‘Mighty Red Quinn’ is a tall Astilbe that brings rich red color and strong vertical structure to shaded gardens. Upright flower plumes rise above dark green, fern-like foliage, creating a bold summer display without taking over the border.
Its height makes it especially useful toward the back of perennial beds, along woodland edges, or grouped as a colorful backdrop for lower-growing Hostas, Ferns, and Heuchera. It performs best in organically rich soil that stays evenly moist.
