Astilbe japonica 'Red Sentinel'
Brilliant scarlet-red flowers bloom in open, lacy panicles from early to midsummer, creating a striking contrast against forest green foliage and mahogany-red stems. Introduced by H. den Ouden in 1947, this classic variety remains one of the best red Astilbes for vibrant color in shaded gardens.
