Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Pretty in Pink’
‘Pretty in Pink’ brings soft color and fine texture to the garden with airy pink flower plumes held on striking red stems. The shiny, deeply cut dark green foliage carries a burgundy cast, giving the plant added interest even before the flowers open.
Blooming for more than six weeks in midsummer, it works well through the front or middle of perennial borders, woodland gardens, and mixed plantings. Its compact habit also makes it a good choice for containers, especially where consistent moisture can be maintained.
