Astilbe x ‘Happy Spirit’
‘Happy Spirit’ brings crisp midsummer color to shaded gardens with pure white flower plumes held on contrasting dark stems. As the blooms mature, they soften to creamy white, extending the display above finely textured green foliage.
Its medium height makes it easy to work into the front or middle of shaded borders, woodland gardens, and mixed plantings. The dark stems add extra definition and pair especially well with Hostas, Ferns, Heuchera, and other shade-loving perennials. It also performs well in containers where consistent moisture can be maintained.
