Astilbe x ‘Maggie Daley’

‘Maggie Daley’ brings rich lavender-purple color to shaded gardens with dense flower plumes that rise above glossy, deep green, fern-like foliage from mid- to late summer. As the flowers fade, the plumes age to a deep caramel tone and can be left standing for added texture through fall and winter.

Its taller habit makes it a good choice for the middle or back of shaded borders, woodland gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. It pairs well with Hostas, Ferns, Heuchera, and other moisture-loving shade plants while adding strong vertical interest later in the season.
