Astrantia major 'Burgundy Manor' (Masterwort)

Astrantia major ‘Burgundy Manor’

‘Burgundy Manor’ brings rich, moody color to the garden with deep burgundy flower clusters held on red stems above deeply lobed green foliage. The intricate blooms are surrounded by long-lasting bracts, giving the plant an extended display through summer and encouraging repeat flowering as the season continues.

Its upright habit works well through the middle of perennial borders, cottage gardens, woodland edges, and mixed plantings. It also grows well in containers and makes an excellent cut flower. Pair it with Ferns, Heuchera, Hostas, or lighter-colored perennials for added contrast.
