Azalea schlippenbachii – Royal Azalea
Royal Azalea is a deciduous azalea valued for its fragrant rose-pink flowers and colorful fall foliage. Blooms appear from late April into mid-May, creating an early-season display before the shrub fully leafs out.
Large, deep green leaves provide a lush appearance through summer before turning shades of orange and red in fall. Its broad habit works especially well in woodland gardens, mixed borders, and small group plantings.
