Baptisia x 'American Goldfinch' (False Indigo)

Baptisia x ‘American Goldfinch’

‘American Goldfinch’ brings bright golden-yellow color to sunny gardens with tall flower spikes held above a rounded mound of deep blue-green foliage. The flowers create a cheerful late-spring to early-summer display, while the attractive foliage continues to add structure and texture after blooming has finished.

Its compact, bushy habit works well through the middle or back of perennial borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator plantings. Once established, Baptisia is long-lived and low maintenance, making it a dependable choice for sunny garden spaces.
