Baptisia x 'Indigo Spires' (False Indigo)

Baptisia x ‘Indigo Spires’

‘Indigo Spires’ brings rich color and strong structure to sunny borders with long spikes of deep violet-purple flowers accented by bright yellow keels. The blooms are produced around the entire rounded clump, creating a fuller display in early summer, while secondary flower spikes help extend the season into midsummer.

Its substantial size makes it a good choice for the middle or back of perennial borders, native plantings, and pollinator gardens. The flowers attract bees and other pollinators, while the sturdy stems also make useful additions to cut-flower arrangements.
