(Bellflower) Dark purple flowers open from near-black buds. Quite compact with a good branching habit and an abundance of pendant, dark purple bells beginning in late spring. The 3-inch-long tubular blossoms are lovely, but the color of the nearly black flower buds is luscious. Its compact, bushy habit is bountiful in bloom. 16", Z3-9.
