Cercis canadensis ‘MN Strain’
Eastern Redbud
‘MN Strain’ is a cold-hardy selection of Eastern Redbud chosen for reliable performance in northern climates. In early spring, clusters of pink flowers appear directly along the branches and trunk before the foliage emerges.
Heart-shaped green leaves follow the flowers and turn bright yellow in fall. Brown seed pods may develop later in the season, adding additional seasonal interest. Its rounded form works well as a specimen tree in residential landscapes.
