‘Filicoides Compacta’ is a slow-growing evergreen with distinctive fern-like foliage held on graceful, arching branches. Rich green sprays taper to fine points, giving the plant a softer, more open texture than many traditional Hinoki cypress varieties.

Its upright form makes it well suited as a specimen, in mixed evergreen plantings, or as part of a screen. Light pruning can be used to encourage a denser habit.
