Chelone obliqua – Turtlehead

A stiffly upright, clump-forming native perennial from Missouri, perfect for moist woodland gardens, stream edges, and swampy areas. Hooded, snapdragon-like deep rose flowers bloom in tight terminal spikes from late summer into autumn, providing long-lasting color. Coarsely toothed, lance-shaped dark green leaves add texture and structure to the garden.
