Clethra alnifolia ‘Ruby Spice’ – Summersweet
Bring fragrance and late-season color to the landscape with this native Summersweet. Rose-pink flower spikes bloom in late summer and continue into early fall, filling the garden with a sweet fragrance and attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
‘Ruby Spice’ has a compact, upright habit and performs especially well in moist soils and partly shaded sites. It is a useful choice for woodland edges, stream banks, naturalized plantings, mixed shrub borders, and areas near patios where its fragrance can be enjoyed.
