Scarlet Fire® is a standout Kousa dogwood celebrated for its dramatic, fuchsia-pink blooms—among the brightest of any dogwood. The pointed, non-overlapping bracts form elegant four-pointed stars that appear in late spring and remain colorful for several weeks. Fresh foliage emerges with a soft purple blush before maturing to deep green.
Developed by Dr. Tom Molnar at Rutgers University, Scarlet Fire® offers excellent resistance to dogwood anthracnose and powdery mildew, making it a reliable, low-maintenance choice for residential landscapes.
