Cornus kousa ‘Rutpink’ Scarlet Fire®
Flowering Dogwood
Scarlet Fire® is a colorful Kousa dogwood known for its vivid fuchsia-pink blooms in late spring. The pointed, non-overlapping bracts create a distinctive star-like appearance and remain colorful for several weeks.
New foliage emerges with a soft purple blush before maturing to deep green. Developed by Dr. Tom Molnar at Rutgers University, Scarlet Fire® also offers excellent resistance to dogwood anthracnose and powdery mildew.
