Huge white blooms • Vigorous growth • Excellent disease resistance
‘Venus’ is one of the most spectacular flowering dogwoods available, celebrated for its massive, creamy-white blooms that can reach up to 6–7" across. This exceptional hybrid—developed by Dr. Elwin R. Orton, Jr. and released by Rutgers University—combines vigor, heavy bloom, and outstanding resistance to both anthracnose and powdery mildew.
The tree forms a dense, low-branched, spreading habit, creating a beautiful, layered look in the landscape. Its abundant spring flowers are followed by attractive summer foliage and good all-season structure.
