Cornus mas 'Golden Glory' - (Cornelian Cherry, Dogwood)
Large, golden yellow flowers in early spring followed by showy red fruit. Flowers appear before foliage emerges in spring. Prefers rich, well drained soil.
Best as a hedge, screen or foundation plant or as a specimen or grouping in the shrub border. Can be trained as a small tree by removal of suckers and lower branches. May be naturalized in open woodland or naturalized areas. Growth Rate is Moderate to Fast
Deer resistant. Edible, tart, red fruits attract songbirds mid-summer. Upright round/oval shape. Height and width at maturity: 15-20' Full sun to part shade. Zones 4-9
