Dicentra formosa ‘Bacchanal’
(Bleeding Heart)
‘Bacchanal’ brings rich color to shaded gardens with deep wine-red, heart-shaped flowers held above soft, fern-like foliage. Its long bloom season extends from early summer into fall, adding steady color and texture through much of the growing season.
Its compact, spreading habit works well along the front of shaded borders, in woodland gardens, rock gardens, or tucked between Hostas, Ferns, and other shade-loving perennials. The flowers also attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
