Dicentra x ‘Candy Hearts’
(Bleeding Heart)
‘Candy Hearts’ brings soft color and fine texture to shaded gardens with bright rose-pink, heart-shaped flowers held above blue-green, fern-like foliage. Blooming begins in mid-spring and can continue for an extended period, giving this compact perennial a longer season of interest than many traditional Bleeding Hearts.
Its low, mounding habit makes it especially useful near the front of shaded borders, along pathways, in woodland gardens, or tucked between Hostas, Ferns, and Brunnera. The flowers are lightly fragrant and also attract pollinators.
