A charming, low-maintenance fern that forms tidy clumps without spreading, making it perfect for woodland gardens. Fronds are easily identified by the distinctive spores along their edges. Often found on rocky slopes, it is drought-tolerant once established. Native to Maine and across the U.S., this fern is deer-resistant and thrives in moist, well-drained soil in part to full shade.
