Epimedium sempervirens 'Passion Hearts'

Foliage emerges in spring with a deep chocolate brown and warms up as spring progresses, through a kaleidoscope of vibrant red tones. Eventually the color fades to the edges before greening up in a tidy mound of elongated, heart-shaped leaflets. Flowers with light lavender sepals and a lighter cup appear in spring. Makes an excellent ground cover. Drought tolerant once established. Adapts to various soil conditions. Deer resistant. Part to full shade. 12",  Zones 5-8.
