A true woodland charmer! Heart-shaped leaves emerge with a red flush in spring, mature to glossy green through summer, then glow red again in fall. Mid to late spring brings airy ruby-red flowers with delicate spurs and creamy yellow stamens. Thrives in part to full shade with moist, well-drained soil. Outstanding for shady borders and underplanting.
