(Magical® Gold Forsythia)
‘Kolgold’ produces extra-large, rich golden-yellow flowers that cover the bare stems in early spring. After flowering, deep green foliage fills out the shrub and provides a clean backdrop through the growing season.
Its medium size makes it useful in mixed borders, flowering hedges, foundation plantings, or as a spring focal point. The flowering branches can also be cut and brought indoors for arrangements.
Once established, this adaptable forsythia tolerates drought, road salt, black walnut, clay, and poorer soils, making it a practical choice for a range of landscape conditions.
