Geranium phaeum ‘Joseph Green’ (Cranesbill)
Geranium phaeum ‘Joseph Green’ is a compact perennial with deeply lobed, bright green, maple leaf–shaped foliage forming an upright, clumping habit with gracefully rambling stems. In spring, it produces double smoky-purple flowers with multiple green stigmas and a white eye zone.
This sterile cultivar does not self-seed, keeping it well-behaved in the garden. Tolerant of shade, it is ideal for shady borders, woodland gardens, or mixed perennial plantings.
