‘Sunburst’ is an upright, vase-shaped witch hazel that brings color and fragrance to the landscape in late winter. Clusters of lemon-yellow, spider-like flowers appear along the bare branches in January and February, well before most shrubs begin to bloom.

Broad, bright green foliage fills out the plant through the growing season, then turns shades of yellow and orange in fall. Its spreading habit and early bloom make it a good choice for specimen plantings, mixed shrub borders, or woodland edges.
