Heliopsis helianthoides 'Bonfire Sunset’
(False Sunflower)
‘Bonfire Sunset’ brings bold summer color to sunny gardens with large, semi-double flowers in fiery shades of red and orange. The blooms stand out against dark foliage and are held on strong, upright stems from early summer into fall.
Its taller habit makes it a good choice for the middle or back of perennial borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator plantings. Deadheading spent flowers can help encourage continued bloom, while the flowers attract bees and butterflies and also work well for cutting.
