Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra ‘Luna Roja’ – False Sunflower
Bring bold summer color to sunny gardens with this compact False Sunflower. ‘Luna Roja’ forms a tidy, rounded mound of dense, dark green foliage topped with vibrant flowers ranging from yellow-orange to fiery red.
Blooming from July through September, its sturdy stems hold the flowers nicely above the foliage and also make them a good choice for cutting. Its smaller size works especially well near the front of borders, in mixed perennial beds, and in pollinator gardens.
Heliopsis is valued for its long bloom season, easy care, and appeal to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
