‘Double Ellen Purple’ produces fully double flowers in deep purple to nearly black, creating a strong contrast against its dark green evergreen foliage. The blooms bring early-season color to shaded garden areas and stand out well in woodland-style plantings.
Its compact habit works well in shaded borders, woodland gardens, and naturalized areas, while the evergreen foliage provides texture beyond the bloom season.
