‘El Desperado’ produces 4-inch mustard-yellow flowers accented by a bold reddish-wine eye and narrow red petal edges. The richly contrasting blooms appear late in the season, extending daylily color into the late-summer garden.
Arching, grass-like green foliage forms a dense clump that adds texture throughout the growing season. Hardy, adaptable, and easy to maintain, this variety works well in sunny perennial borders, mass plantings, and cottage gardens.
