Hemerocallis 'Royal Invitation' (Daylily) 6½" flowers in a dramatic dark lavender bicolor. The blooms feature a captivating watercolor eye, an ivory shark's tooth edge, and a vibrant yellow-green throat. Despite the large flowers 'Royal Invitation' has a notably compact habit perfect for the middle of the border. 22"x 18-24", Z3-9.
Characteristics (Compared to Other Daylilies):
Late Midseason Bloomer, blooming in Late July.
Rebloomer, producing a second set of flowers.
Dormant foliage.
Fragrant flowers.
Tetraploid with 44 chromosomes, twice as many as Diploids. Tetraploids tend to be bigger, stronger plants.
